Tiler/Plaster

Responsibilities:
*Examining plans and measuring surfaces.
*Preparing surfaces for new tile fitting by levelling off with plaster, sand or cement.
*Laying and grouting tiles evenly and cleanly.
*Cutting tiles to the correct size and shape.
*Working with other tradespeople.
*Waterproofing surfaces when appropriate.
*Decorating and protecting floors and walls using all kinds of tiles.

Requirements:
*Previous experience as a tile and marble setter.
*Good communication skills.
*Basic carpentry skills.
*Advanced mathematical skills.
*Ability to operate hand and machine cutting tools.
*Knowledge of tiling designs and installation techniques.
*Ability to work crouching or kneeling for long periods.

Remuneration:
*Basic Salary: $2400- $2600 (depends on skill)
*Working Hours: 8.30am to 5.30pm (Mon-Sat)
*6 days work
*Rest Days: 4 days per month
*OT: 1.5
